Through the work, a lot of theory that had been taught in classes was blended into practice, therefore minimising the theory-practice divide. While exploring the impact of typography on brand association, I clarified the psychological-emotional semantic of serif, sans serif and script fonts. This supplemented my knowledge about how the nonverbal message can trigger the feelings of trust, innovativeness with reference to the brand. Also, in order to compile and analyse the data for the assignment, I had to engage in evaluating information in the provision of a comprehensive and meaningful discussion.
Observations
By performing this research I was able to gain experience in carrying out research, writing, and designing. In forming the survey, as well as in analysing the results, this included convening the material naturally and systematically so that the presentation of the findings is coherent and informative. Designing the visual aspects of the survey also necessitated consideration of design and publishing principles to drive home the fact that the look and feel of a message are also important. As I conducting several researches, I realized that making use of visual presentation helps the participant understand more than have them fill dully forms and tables.
Conclusion
From this I learnt on how to communicate these ideas, and how to implement theoretical knowledge in practice. It also showed me that organisation and good reporting skills were important for creating a structured document. Through my ability to link the research, writing, and design skills on this study, I was able to provide an attractive package that was scientifically high calibre. Attaining these goals and completing this project has empowered me with the confidence when approaching upcoming activities that need critical assessment alongside innovations in presentation.
