L.A.T.C.H (10%) – Present information according to this principle as a designed poster

PROCESS

L.A.T.C.H

L (Location): Jeju-do, South Korea (Jeju island raid)
A (Alphabet): Job Classes Hunter's Name alphabetically
T (Time):
C (Category): Job Classes (MOST IMPORTANT Hunters that were present in Jeju-do raid (classifies beings into classes, based on their abilities and fighting styles.))
H (Hierarchy): Hunter Levels (E-S rank) which is the strongest to the weakest in EACH category

LOCATION

- Jeju Island raid (the ant's colony)
- South Korea & Japan (Hunter's origin Country)

CATEGORY

1. Fighter Classes (Melee Combat)
2. Mage Classes (Magic Users)
3. Healer Classes (Buffers & Utility)
4. Assassin Classes
6. Special Unique Classes

HIERARCHY

In jeju-do raid, all that are present are S-rankers, so I will arrange according to the weakest S rankers to the strongest.

Rank Summary in Order

  1. E-Rank (Weakest, barely stronger than humans)
  2. D-Rank (Low-tier, still weak)
  3. C-Rank (Mid-tier, balanced strength)
  4. B-Rank (High-tier, above average)
  5. A-Rank (Elite-tier, powerful but below S-Rank)
  6. S-Rank (Top-tier, strongest normal hunters)
  7. S+ Rank National Level Hunter (Beyond S-Rank, country-level power)
  8. Immeasurable. Sung Jinwoo (Shadow Monarch, God-tier power)

BUT! Sung Jinwoo was about National Level Hunter when Jeju-do Raid happened. So we stop at S+ rank.

fig 1.1

I started to photoshop one of the many logos of Solo Leveling, as I chose this for my poster.

fig 1.2

Then, I used illustrator to create this map of Korea as part of the background and Location. Jeju island was the main attraction and where the Hunters did the raid of the Anthill, so i created a location mark radiating from Jeju island to indicate the importance.

fig 1.3

After that, I made icons of the job classes of the hunters that they would be categorised in. Then I proceeded to photoshop and create the individual hunter's game "cards" as their illustration to be presented in the poster.

fig 1.4

After consultation, I decided to go with overlaying South Korea so that it looks less standing out as it's not the main importance of the infographic poster. Then I added an illustration of the zoomed in illusion with the hunter's information and categorised.

fig 1.5

Then I proceeded with making the Hierarchy of the strongest to weakest hunter.

fig 1.6

I photoshopped the design of the system notification from solo leveling and traced it on illustrator to create the pattern corners of the labelling of the subheadings.

fig 1.7

After all that, it's time to put them all together and piece them correctly and cohesively to form that balance and harmony of arrangement we're looking for.

Lastly, I added the "death" icon I made on illustrator to indicate the hunters that died meaninglessly during the raid, despite being S rank hunters, the threat was too powerful, but it all came to an end almost instantly when Hunter Sung Jin woo came into the scene and killed the boss on site.

Why is Sung jin woo rank as the strongest?

Because he's the only one who can level up while others remain as the same strength when they awaken these powers. It's already predetermined power, but Hunter Sung Jin woo defied all those norms.

FEEDBACK

- maybe create something with the design that can be extracted from the original image, and create a frame with it.
- arrange it to align it on the same level as the hunter's job classes.

REFLECTION

My progression as a designer has enabled me to develop robust technical abilities that boost my creative conceptual presentations. Industry-standard software has enabled me to turn raw ideas into effective visual presentations which both appear beautiful and work effectively as intended. The use of digital rendering along with graphic layouts and multimedia elements combined with various methods enabled the increased clarity and impact of my work. These abilities have perfected my design approach while developing my expertise to present professional solutions in visually impactful ways.

My analysis of digital media brought me to understand its effective capability to manipulate perceptions while creating stories in design work. Interaction design alongside motion graphics and properly organized layouts enable visual storytelling to improve audience comprehension while they become more engaged. My exploration with various platforms and tools enabled me to find innovative ways for both improving my workflow efficiency and achieving better concept displays. The digital media tools act as vital elements to link conceptual thought with final execution since they allow precise and impactful project communication.

Analyzing my progress shows me that software and digital media mastery functions beyond trained execution as it remains essential for the contemporary design world. I have strengthened my confidence level to deliver ideas to different audiences because I learned to use these tools effectively which improved the quality of my work. In the future I plan to advance my mastery of developing digital tools and investigate distinctive ways to improve my design delivery methods. Through my ongoing learning process I will advance creative boundaries by delivering my concepts with both innovation and clear purpose.
